Great iPhone, and Android Apps for Kids

I've had my iPhone for several years now, and I'm loving it. Unfortunately my 5 year old daughter and just recently my 2 year old son, also love it. This means that I've got a lot of games on the device. I've also recently started using the Droid 2 I got at MAX for my daughter to play with. I don't have as many games on that one, but I thought it would be a great idea to write up a blog post with the games my kids love in hopes that it helps other parents with their children.

It's also worth mentioning that there are two iPhone apps that I use every day. Each of them negotiates free daily downloads of games directly from the developers. I'll include those as well. If you have an app that your kids really like, please leave it in the comments so that we can all benefit!

First up the iPhone apps:

Next, the Android games:

You're not fooling anyone, those are your games. I've seen you playing Coloring Disney Princess at lunch!

My son was playing Sniper on my X yesterday. Does that make me a bad parent or him an awesome kid?

My two toddlers share my old iPhone 3GS. There are a few games on there for them, but what looks like the current #1 is an official Disney app, Handy Manny. It has four different games inside of it, and keeps their attention longer than any other one we have. It's really well done. Others that they have had and still play with are BabyFirst TV's Peek-a-boo and Number Time apps, and Coloring4Kids. My three year old loves to snap off photo after photo with the camera though, and my two year old loves to play the Tic Tac Toe and Connect Four apps.

Hey, I've been trying to promote my new app that is designed for kids and adults to play together (imagine that, a phone app designed for togetherness!). Seriously, please take a look at http://www.holyhog.com/products/tileracer.html. This is based on a game I used to play as a kid with my Mom. We both loved it and that's why I chose it as my first game for Android. The graphics a really pretty, it's easy to learn but you don't get bored with it.

IPhone apps have really become popular today. No wonder why it has happened like that. Their main goal is not just to entertain but also to educate kids! There is a great number of apps available. However, I would like to recommend the game that my children are enthusiastic about. This is Kinder Hangman iPhone app. It helps kids enlarge their vocabulary and develop communication skills. You may visit http://sharkfuel.com/kinderhangman.html for more details. Children like this game so much!

Well, there is even speacia kid tablet released, but I think that childhood should be as tech-free as possible. Modern children spend too much time with gadgets even without knowing what to do without them!
