One of the big announcements this year at Adobe MAX was RIM's new Playbook device whichs supports Adobe AIR out of the box. The device will be released in the first quarter of 2011 and RIM is really wanting to have a large number of applications available at launchtime. To that end they're offering a FREE Blackberry Playbook to every developer who submits an application to the BlackBerry App World (and gets it approved).
If you're already developing applications for Android using Adobe's Flash Builder then you're in goods shape. Adobe evangelist Renaun Erickson has a blog post on how to convert an Android APK package to the Blackberry BAR package.
Visit Blackberry's website to download the SDK, or the emulator. Check out the BlackBerry App World Distribution model. Watch a video about the performance comparison between the Playbook and the iPad.

Man, that's huge! I may have to learn to actually program so I can get one!
