I was chatting with Jason Dean this morning about about AIR development when we both realized there were groups focusing on AIR development using HTML and JavaScript. There's plenty of talk about Flash, and Flex, but many people don't even know that it's possible to build AIR applications with HTML and JavaScript. This makes it difficult to find code, get help with your apps, and just chat about topics concerning our avenue of development.

So I created one. The first group, that I know of, focusing on AIR development using HTML and JavaScript. The focus of this group will be as follows. We'd love to have you join if you're interested.

This group is Adobe AIR developers of all skill levels. We'll focus on building AIR applications with HTML, JavaScript (including frameworks and libraries), and CSS. We'll cover any version of AIR, along with talk about public betas and wish lists.

I usually build apps in MXML and AS3 but have been exploring Javascript off and on and would like to share my experiences and learn from you all, too. I am also trying to persuade web developers who hesitate to use Actionscript to give this path a shot. George
